Trunk wont open with inside button or on FOB
Hello MBW. Yesterday picked up a 2006 CL55 AMG. I understood the trunk could only be opened via the little key attached to the FOB. There aren't any clicks or clunks from actuator and/or motor that opens automatically. Appreciate help. Thank you.

very familiar with that issue being a cracked housing on the trunk lid release actuator . its air powered and when the housing cracks it fails to unlock . my last 3 w215s had that issue

thx u
Yes, the button on drivers door and FOB won't open trunk. It also appears that the passenger side top of trunk, where it meets the rear glass is slightly raised. Will examine the possibility of a cracked actuator.

If anything in the vacuum systems is inoperative, you need to the the metal key blade in the lock cylinder to pop the trunk and gain access via manual means.
