Oil Change Question

I will complete one year of ownership this January. It has 5500 miles or so. Is it time to change the oil yet? Or should I just wait for the service on the dash?

Another quick question for Adam.....Have you conditioned your leather yet? I still haven't gotten around to it, but I think I'm just going to have a professional fully detail the whole thing.

Thanks guys

Andrew

Being that you are about to hit a year, I would personally change the oil. If you opt not to, you will be ok as well.

You may even be able to get the dealer to do this for you under warranty if you ask. I have heard of some dealers honoring the warranty change if you exceed 12 months without a oil change.

I have conditioned the leather. Leatherique works very well. My drivers seat started to develop a crease on the left lower part where your thigh rests.

Leatherique was able to condition the leather so well it almost worked it out.

The dealer will do it at 12 months regardless of mileage or FSS under the included maintenance program. Sooner if the mileage is in the 8K range. FSS should go off soon anyway. If you wait too long between changes (14 months or so), you might not be able to get the last one done free before the 4 year term expires. This just happened to me. OUCH$

If it's under the 4 yr maint plan, then have it done.

Otherwise, just wait until the FSS asks u to do it. FSS has a max on date/mileage. With the low mileage that I put on, the date usually kicks off the service requirement.
