I've had my lowering links for two years now. My car is in having the suspension dampers replaced as we speak. I honestly don't know that it has anything to do with the links. I can tell you that my car rides a lot rougher with the links (even before the bad dampers) than it did without the links. My car is probably too low however. I will be switching to the lowering module at some point due to the ability to adjust the height.

With the lowering links, you still have the 3 adjustments from the dash switch right?
Button will raise the car but my car sits really low as well. I drive with the lowest setting unless I'm going into a steep driveway or over a speed bump that's when I raise up the car.
Used links on 4 of my Benzes for over 5 years now. Could not be happier. All that the links do is fool your sensors.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. After owning my cl55 for two years i have been terrified of the dreaded ABC issues.
In fact I have had a couple of such scares before but I went on a proactive "flush and rodeo" crusade every 6 months since my first scare and not a peep since then (over a year ago).

I initially wanted the lowering modules also but they are too pricy. Two years is a pretty decent test period.
@aarkah no problem. I will say that I should have spent a little more time getting the height setup properly when I installed them. I did the install myself, it was easy, probably like 40 minutes to do... As I mentioned my car is too low. At 'max' height I have about an inch (maybe less) between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender. At it's lowest point the top of the tire is 'tucked'... While it looks bad *** I am raising it so that at it's lowest point the top of the tire is about an inch from the bottom of the fender. That will give me some room to raise it up on the highway. Here in Dallas the highways are pretty good and I have rarely bottomed out... In an area with rougher roads I would be cautious about running at the height I have now.
Also, I did not get an alignment after putting the links on. I'm going through rears every 8k and front's every 12k. FYI.
I just finished 4 years with lowering links. Then, suddenly the front passenger side slammed to the floor right after I put it in gear to back up. And the driver side rear was WAY up in the air. The red ABC warning to drive directly to the shop had been on during my last commute. Everything looked and felt fine after I parked, and before I got read to go. I had it towed and found out the rubber in one end of one of the links failed. NO ABC ISSUE! What a relief. So proud of my ABC system again.
