Secondary jump start points in a W215/W220.
Voltage Regulator was dying on my car. Had the battery disconnected to work safely and found that I couldn't finish the job in the dead of night.
Car was on ramps with a dead battery and my trunk closed on me. After fighting with the manual trunk release for a few hours I decided to come inside and do some research. After which I pulled out my tools and tried this option. Trunk popped right open. I connected the battery and rolled the car down the ramps. Very relieved. Lesson learned, don't start jobs at sundown

I had to do a similar jump to get my cl65 trunk opened this winter.. I ended up using the fuse block red wire in the engine bay. Its good to have alternative ways just incase you cant get the hood popped..

There is Ed, but for some reason mine wasn't working. May have been something with the pneumatic system freezing up on me. But yes, this point won't allow a jump. Only to power electronics when the vehicle is dead so you can pop the trunk. BTW definitely missed you at the install day today, next time?
