Installed Lowering Links

Though this generally 45 minute job took 90+ plus minutes, JJ, the meticulous mechanic at Lomotions Corvette (Poughkeepsie, NY) got it just right. He left a gap of 1" between the top of tire and bottom of fender. It's amazing what a drop can do for looks and feel. The CL55 AMG, though properly equipped to execute quick and fast road maneuvers, need to be dropped to give it the look and feel of the beast it is.
The winter has been unforgiving to NY roads, the close proximate heaves and dips caused by freeze and thaws necessitates raising the ABC at higher speeds. Using the ABC Sport mode does mitigate not using the higher ABC option.
Tomorrow returning to Lomotion to place on a new crank position sensor and inspect the links effect on care ride height. Will let you all know how it goes on this morning 40 mile highway ride to office. Otherwise, I recommend the Ebay $99 lowering links.

How has your ride been affected at the lower level?

Yes, slightly firmer ride, but quicker steering response. Noticed that the drivers front is lower than the passenger side and rubs on inner fender skirt. Tomorrow this will addressed. Aside from the sportier lowered look, the rear looks lower and gives the tires a wider look.Next week will have a wheel alignment.

Let's see some pictures, I'm from the Hudson Valley as well. I'm on the poor people side of the river in Orange County. My car could use a slight drop, but with widened wheels in the back I think it will cause rubbing. Besides, I don't want to do anything to upset the ABC prematurely. I'm more about going fast.

If Im right, your US spec cars are 1 inch higher than our european counterparts, so are better to be lowered. I lowered mine about half an inch and the ride quality suffered hugely so I put it back. The dampers have to stay within range (which you are still within I believe) or ride quality is hugely affected)

Maintained 1" above tire in front and 2" in rear. Mechanic used a micrometer on each link to maintain uniform length. Ride is slightly firmer. Racehorse, will get those pics on here tomorrow.
