mirrors dissasembly on CL63 amg and CLS55 amg

Common problem with mercedes mirrors / wings is damage to the blinkers inside mirrors as they are most exposed

I decided to change one of my damaged blinkers but could not find a single tutorial on CLs or CL mirrors for 2009 models, so i decided to write this up, how to open the mirror housing and change the blinker

blinker / migavac :

STEP 1 - Point the mirror down so it looks into the ground, the glass itself is held in place by 6 plastic clips, 3 on top of glass and 3 at bottom. we need to unclip either top or bottom side and top is easier to access... Gently pull the glass down and using a long thin screwdriver start unclipping the clips one by one, they just need to move a fraction of a milimeter, so they dont hold any more, but you need to do all 3 while pulling the glass so they dont clip back. after all 3 are loose, wiggle the glass down and the lower clips will be released as well. It is not necessary to remove the wiring from glass, just let it hang in the air

STEP 2: remove the motor, it is held in place by 3 torx screws, no need to remove the wires, just let the motor hang in the air

KORAK 2 - otkacite motor, drze ga tri torks srafa, nije potrebno otkaciti zice, moze da visi u vazduhu

STEP 3 - Remove the 5 remaining torx screws, one is behind the motor and the other 4 can be accessed even without motor removal, you will now be able to pull the back piece of the housing out

STEP 4 : pull the wire out from the blinker, nothing is holding it, just pull back gently

STEP 5: gently pull the housing up, it will come off and you will be able to see two torx screws holding the blinker in place, remove the screws, pull the blinker out and put the new blinker in its place

thats it, now repeat the steps backwards to put everything back, and the glass - just press in againsta the motor and the clips will fall in place
