Cruise Control Inoperative

When I flip the switch to engage the cruise control it seems to begin but immediately stops, the cruise indicator dashes flash and then return to their normal state.

This just started happening. I just recently replaced my tires but they're the same size. I have been getting a random, inconsistent, left rear turn signal error as well as a brake light error. I don't know if they're related but I figured I would mention them. There are no dash warning lights and no other malfunctions at this time.

Any ideas, fellas?

I don't know if this relates from other models, but I'd check the brake light switch on the pedal.

New information:

I just discovered that the cruise control function at lower speeds so it appears that the problem only occurs at higher speed leading me to believe that it wouldn't have anything to do with the brake switch.

I honestly think the bulbs need to be working for the system to work. It was like that in the early year cars but I am not sure if its that way in the newer cars. The system uses existing hardware like the drive by wire so there isnt much that will go wrong for the cruise other then the switch.
