RPM Throttle Delay and Abnormal Revving
Hello MBworld I started noticing a delay in the acceleration and response of the car. I tested the car in park by revving the engine and the RPM never went up past 4000 RPM. This problem occurs occasionally and resolves after I turn off the car, but I'd like to fix it. I suspect the throttle position sensor under the pedal needs to be replaced but wanted more input.
In the past, the car had abnormal throttling between 3000-4000 RPM and would alternate between the two without resolving until I turned the car off. However, this problem has resolved and no longer exhibits this. Also, I've recently cleaned out the throttle body of where air enter and checked vacuum hoses without any abnormalities.

Wait so you were in Park and tried to rev past 4k. You are aware we have a rev limiter right? That being said it doesn't dismiss your other problems. I've had strange throttle stutters on cold starts as well.
