Question about Weistec Supercharger for CL55
I was taking a look at the Weistec Supercharger for the CL55. Looks like an awesome upgrade.
One question I had is whether you can still use a Renntech CF airbox with this or not. I have an 82mm throttle body.

The reason I ask is it looks like the airbox hookup is in a different location and uses it's own air intake.
Can anyone confirm if you can use a Renntech CF airbox with the Wesitec Supercharger. In all transparency, I kind of like the look of the CF airbox so if there is a way to keep it and add the Supercharger, I'd love to know.

The renntech intake will not fit with the weistec supercharger. It's a totally different setup. The throttle body is in a different location even if it was close. Read up from those who have one and you will find it requires a lot of cooling mods and still heat soaks with out spraying meth. If you don't have headers, that would be another power adder to install before investing in a bigger blower. There is/was more talk on the E55 site about the install and results. It's a much bigger commitment.

For sure, lots of heatsoak from what I read and owners with mixed emotions on the conversion. You will need extensive cooling mods and may need meth injection too.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I installed the MBH Long tube headers a few weeks ago with the 82mm throttle body, that's what got me thinking about the blower next. Either that or maybe Kleemann camshafts next. Although, I can't seem to find any performance gains for the camshafts throughout the forums.

I got the throttle body done when I got the MBH long tube headers done, so it's hard for me to tell what is doing what in terms of performance. All I can tell you is the performance with the headers and throttle body is distinctly different and more torque type feel. I notice the LSD a little more now that I have all this extra power if that makes sense.
