Door handle/lock adjustments

I'm somewhat new with my 2008 CL63 and I've noticed some oddities with my door handle and soft-close doors. In the past I've owned a BMW E31 coupe with door glass that dropped slightly when the door handle was lifted, even slightly. On the W216, the glass is dropping only after the door is unlatched which appears to put some side pressure on the window as the door opens but before the glass is out of the body channel.

Are you guys experiencing this as well? Or does your glass start moving with the first movement of the door handle?

I've also noticed my driver's soft-close door action is very unpredictable. Sometimes it pulls in, other times not. It's really hit-and-miss.

Adjustment time? If so, anybody dig into their door latch/lock/closing mechanism?

Thanks.

Don't know about W216, but W215 window drop appears to be activated by the door switch at the rear of the door opening. This is pushed by the trim piece in the door that surrounds the door catch. So yes the door must begin to open very slightly before the window will drop.

I have had the door lock and soft close assembly taken apart and didn't see any adjustments that could affect this.

It appears the electric motor door closing mechanism on the W216 is a bit different than the vacuum-operated version on the W215. I noticed in the WIS there is some form of cable slack adjustment between the door handles and the actual locking mechanism, but I wanted to consult with somebody who has had the actual mechanism out of the door prior to disassembling everything and finding out it doesn't fix the problem.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I'll re-ask my question over on the Coupe forum. Looks like a long shot at this point.
