I have an '08 and want to upgrade the headlights to the 2011+ version. I searched the forum and did not see alot of info on this. I have 2 technicians helping me research this project and it appears that it is going to be much more involved/expensive than I initially thought due to the number of parts required to do it right. Has anyone recently done this mod?

On my '08, the night vision technology/camera works via the windshield, so I purchased new headlights/ballasts without night vision and we are going to utilize my existing setup.

Now we are trying to determine if I can use my existing headlight ECUs or if I have to purchase new ones. I have a feeling this is not going to be an easy mod or more people would have done it already.

Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

Seriously, have you even spent 5 minutes looking at the 2 cars? It's and easy swap, sell the 08 buy a 11+ I sold my 08 a few years ago for the face lifted model. Because otherwise just thinking you'll need headlights is dead wrong, along with the small issue of needing ballasts you need new fenders, hood, hood vents, hood pad, grill, bumper, bumper inner fender linings, led fog lights, bumper grills, wiring, front Sam, some one to code the new Sam with the vin of a newer vehicle. You need to consider finding 2 new techs if you guys haven't noticed the obvious as stated above. I'm not a tech I just can see visually.

Also your night vision doesn't just work from the "windshield" the face lifted cars also have a camera in the windshield. The headlight shoot out infrared that the windshield camera works with as well. Regardless. No disrespect but new techs needed still.

After further research, I decided against this mod because I don't want to replace my Prior Design hood. The PD hood is very unique and replacing it just for a headlight mod seems pointless. Focused on Weistec BOVs now and possibly Supersprint downpipes.
