W216 CL65 headlight upgrade to newer '11+ version
I have an '08 and want to upgrade the headlights to the 2011+ version. I searched the forum and did not see alot of info on this. I have 2 technicians helping me research this project and it appears that it is going to be much more involved/expensive than I initially thought due to the number of parts required to do it right. Has anyone recently done this mod?
On my '08, the night vision technology/camera works via the windshield, so I purchased new headlights/ballasts without night vision and we are going to utilize my existing setup.

Now we are trying to determine if I can use my existing headlight ECUs or if I have to purchase new ones. I have a feeling this is not going to be an easy mod or more people would have done it already.
Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

Also your night vision doesn't just work from the "windshield" the face lifted cars also have a camera in the windshield. The headlight shoot out infrared that the windshield camera works with as well. Regardless. No disrespect but new techs needed still.

After further research, I decided against this mod because I don't want to replace my Prior Design hood. The PD hood is very unique and replacing it just for a headlight mod seems pointless. Focused on Weistec BOVs now and possibly Supersprint downpipes.
