W216 CL500 Rear window fualt

hi,
I have just bought my CL500 W216, its in amazing condition and has had a full MB service history and i got very very cheap.
1 of only 2 faults the car has is the drivers side (UK RHD) rear window doesn't work at all (2nd fault being the seat massager not working). The first thing we did was get on to google and search for
common fixes etc. but im finding it hard to get any real answers.
My first thought was the check a fuse ,if its not a fuse does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be and how to fix?

When the rear window down button is pushed there is no motor sound , and when the soft door close action happens the rear window doesnt move at all.

Thanks in advance

Yeah that is a common problem.
The rear window module needs to be re-flashed by someone with Xentry Online, usually a dealer.

Thanks a bunch!
ill see if my local indy can do it first for a reasonable price . On a side note , this is my first Merc, I used to own BMW and the dealer level diagnositic software was available from popular places online , is SDS unobtainable in the same way?

Thanks

Rear window not working at all has nothing to do with programming
Also, after battery been off, the windows and sunroof need to be calibrated
you can do that with Xentry but also yoursel
moving the window all down and hold button for 4 sec
then all up and hold 4 sec

if the windows does not work at all the problem is there, wiring or so

do this is this order left front, right front, rear right, rear left
sunroof, all way open and hold 4 sec
all way closed, 4 sec
thats it

massage not working is, if you can inflate all adjustments, a programming problem
if you can not inflate you probably have a airline leak under the seat where it goes into the floor
when that happens, the system disables the whole seat inflation system

good luck

Thanks ,
My local indy wants £45 diagnosis for the windows , but won't get an estimate for the software flash and window module replacement until after diagnosis .

Im thinking about just changing it myself , but one thing I'm unsure of , does the rear window have the same setup as the fronts? E.G a door module and a window regulator? .

And as for the massager , I've read that the pumps are so unreliable that I'm not even sure I want to spend money on it, I read of one guy who went through 3 pumps in 8 years and one of them was a revised model !
Is there an easy way to test inflation? I don't have any air tools or compressor, so what's the best DIY method to check for a leak ?

On a side note I haven't even checked the fuses yet because I can't find a fuse diagram, mine isn't in the boot so I assume orebiipr owner lost it , and it's s lot harder to find one for my specific car online than I thought it would be . I THINK the fuse is in the left engine bay box and is number 74 (40amp) , does anyone know if that's right ?

Thanks for everyone's input.

with your local paki you will loose 45 you could invest in buying a C4 to diagnose yourself
but it looks like you are not really into working on your car yourself

the system isolates the leaking side when detected by disabling the valves or pump

if you unplug the battery for 20-30 min, you'll reset that

so trick is to immediate go to the seat, and try the massage buttons and listen carefully, the sound comes from the backrest, there are the valves, or just sit in the seat and push the buttons

if it works shortly you'll know you just have a leak

fo the fuse chart you should have that in your manual
if not send me your VIN
