CL55 SC Pulley Explosion
Hi All,
I have just become the victim of a Eurocharged SC Pulley which turned into a grenade.
I have contacted Eurocharged but they refuse to respond.
My original AMG pulley will be going back on together with, replacement tensioner and the new aluminium thermostat pipe.
This will enable me to assess if there is any further damage.
I have since discovered that a SC Pulley shield is available, so for those of you who still run Eurocharged pulleys be warned.
This applies to ALL vehicles fitted with the M113 engine.
Approx. £1000 to fix so far

Had exactly the same with a early DTK pulley back in 2016. Its the weak springs they used.
I welded the aluminum thermostat housing by the way with ALSI5 without issues. Thermostate was still good so no need to replace it.

I emailed them too, but just got told I was out of warranty and would take NO responsibility.
SO EVERYONE BE WARNED.
My CL55 is working again with the standard AMG pulley, just to get it home.
This repair has cost £1000, plus another $170 for a scatter shield to protect me from future damage.
A smaller pulley is on order BUT NOT FROM EUROCHARGED.
At the moment I cannot find a replacement cover.
