Is anyone running a 275/35/20 Rear? w215
I'm testing a few different tires sizes and now running 275/35/20 in the rear of my 2004 CL55. Is anyone else running this size? If so, how low is your car and what all did you have to trim?

I ran 275/35/20 for years, my ride height is low so recently the local tire shop had some 255/35/30 so I went with those, they practically never rub now, even with low ride height. The 275’s used to rub sometimes when entering really steep driveways for example

I just swapped my 285/30/20 to 275/35/20. I'm running a 20x10 rear wheel. I love the look of the 275/35 as the tire fills up the wheel well so much better, but it does rub on the bracket that holds the quarter panel and bumper together behind the bumper. It does not rub on the upper portion of the fender well. My car is low. The tires are pretty much right at the fender line. I'm going to see if I can do some minor trimming to get it to work.

I had my fenders rolled, helps a lot but yes the ultimate fix is some dremel action to cut away a bit of that excess material where the rear quarter panel meets the rear bumper. I’ll get to it someday to fit 275’s again. I agree they look too good on the w215, especially from the rear. Makes the car look super powerful with those 275’s

Trimmed that excess material where the quarter meets the rear bumper and all the rubbing has gone away. I do have my fenders rolled. Here is the pic. Running 255/35 fronts and 275/35 rears.

Yes please post the rim sizes also. I am shopping around for tires on 20x8.5 & 20x9.5 SL63 replica wheels and I really like the look of your tires. the size looks perfect, hope it doesn't rub.

i have 275/35/20 on my car now and im not crazy about how it looks, i've realized the ones ive liked the most were 275/30/20
this is a very low profile tire but it gives a much more "squared off" look, especially when viewing the car from behind. my 275/35/20's, especially the michelin run flats have a more "rounded" and less aggressive look to them
