CL63 Removal of the central wooden panel

Hi All,

I'm trying to get to the COMAND system in my CL63 AMG to install iPod kit as well as Tune2Air, but I got stuck at the step of removing the central wooden panel. Here is the picture:


So, I've unscrewed the bolt as shown on picture number 5. Then, I've moved to step number 6, but with no luck. I'm trying to pull that metal clip, but it doesn't want to go anywhere. Where should I apply force? Downwards? Towards myself? Has anyone done that as well, as I'm a bit frustrated about the process at the moment. Any comments are appreciated.

Hey Im sure you had figured it out by now. But for anybody else trying to figure how to remove the center dash wood trim, check out this channel these guys have great how to videos for random MBs including w216.
