PUSH BUTTON IN SHIFTER KNOB IS STUCK
The Issue - the push button (starter button) on the knob on my shifter started sticking, and over time it became increasingly difficult to turn the car on or off.
Eventually the button stopped working altogether, and I had to start using the key fob in the ignition slot. My thought process was, when I went in for a Series A or B at the shop, they could just spray some magic solution into the stuck button on the know and free it up again.
However, I was told they could not repair the button, but that I would need an entire new shift stick costing several hundred dollars. >>> I made the decision to just keep using my key fob for starting my car.
I thought I'd ask the great and wonderful forum here - is there an easy fix to this?
I really miss getting into my car and just hitting the starter button on the shifter.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
