None of the 2003+ AMG CL or S class models come with a wood wheel. You ask why ? Well becuase Mercedes doesn't make a Wood/Leather wheel with the Tiptronic shift buttons.

That is the simple reason why I went with a MP Designs wood/leather wheel for my 2003 CL55 with the shift buttons.

It's a shame Mercedes AMG cheaped out on the wheel.

Yessir, yours is a beautiful wheel. I'd expect it to be stock.

Ummm I dunno, I think wood on the steering wheel would have been a bit too much. Perhaps MB should have put on a more sportier wheel on the AMGs

Anyone know if the CL65/SL65 are still in the Tampa showroom? I may head down tomorrow to see them.

The SL belongs to the owner, if you're lucky, you'll see it. Just make sure you ask and they'll be happy to point it out. The CL should be in the showroom unless someone dropped 182k on it.
