W215 accumulator change help

2004 Cl 500 140,000 miles.

From reading previous posts I am sure I have a bad accumulator. I just purchased the car and at first I thought the main display had a short. Once and awhile going over a bump the display would flicker. After reading a lot on ABC I now know that it is the Abc light coming on and the going right off. I purchased the 2 main and the return accumulator as a kit from FCPeuro for $530. With a lifetime warranty.

My question is can I change the accumulators without removing the valve block? Every video on abc that I have seen has been on the SL or the S class. Thank you in advance.

I had the same issue. I also got the same kit from fcp like you. If your 500 is the same as my 55, no you don’t have to remove the block to install them. I had to remove the right muffler to access the rear accumulator. The front required removing the front left fender well to access it. The return was right by the rear block on the left but I didn’t have to remove the block. Pretty easy job really. Hope this helps and good luck.

I agree you don't remove the solenoid block but you will need too loosen back exhaust hangers and remove front left wheel liner and the accumulators are accessible.
Too remove the rear I loosen hangers at the far rear using a jack to support. Remove the hanger close to the differential. Drop exhaust and use a 2x4 too spring it down for clearance. The front needs just the front liner removed. The small dampener is accessible without removing anything.
