Drove a CL65 Yesterday At The Dealer
My dealer had two press cars a CL65 and SL65. I drove the CL65 for about 20 minutes yesterday. I was surprised how different the ride was from my S55. I still think my CL 500 was the best car I ever owned so I always have yearned for another coupe.
The most interesting thing was how quiet the engine is as compared to the 55's. But boy was it fast - but quiet, kind of strange. I thought it would be more of a brute than it was. It was a great car but now I can wait a year to get a used one.

It seemed softer and more detached than my S55. It was almost like the S600 ride when compared to a S55. I know the S55 is the boat of all the 55's so I was very surprised at the ride.

Thats very good news, thanks. I was worried as many many people on this board have complained that the CL is a pretty firm riding car, very much more so than the S-class, and thats with 18inch wheels, not the 19inch ones on the CL65. Could it be that the roads around where you drove were pretty smooth, leading you to believe its more softer than your S55?
You obvously have driven both cars so you would know better, its very pleasing to hear the even the 65's aren't too firm for everday use, (relatively once compared to standard models)
