My CL65 windows don’t line up and the dealership says I need new window regulators
I knew before I bought this 2005 CL65 AMG that I was going to be paying more for the repairs in the long run than what I paid for the car, but even so, DAMN this is an expensive car to maintain.
The latest are the passenger side windows not lining up properly, so that the edge of the front window sticks ever so slightly out past the back side window.
I didn’t notice the problem until AFTER I had the pneumatic vacuum pumps replaced in both doors to fix the soft close and other related problems.
it seems awfully coincidental that after taking my doors apart to fix the pump, my windows suddenly don’t line up, that I have a faulty window regulator and that it’s going to take another $1500 to fix that one side.
So I had 2 questions:
1- Does that seem like a fair price to repair the passenger side window regulator?
2- Does it seems weird that I suddenly have this problem right after taking my door apart?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
‘thanks everyone,
