Locked out of my w215 trunk!
Thus far I have tried sending power from a jump pack through the passenger side foot-well terminal. That gave the car power but the trunk button nor the door switch would open the trunk.
The hard key blade works for the door but seems to get stuck halfway into the trunk's lock cylinder. I was able to get the key fully seated in the cylinder, however the key still wont turn and the key feels sticky going in.
There has been an ongoing issue with the soft close on the drivers side door for a while. When the door wouldn't fully close I could hear a hissing from the pneumatic lines from inside the door. Eventually after a couple months I stopped hearing that hissing when the door wouldn't close all the way. I'm wondering if the PSE pump could be faulty, and if replacing, and giving power will allow me to access the trunk from the button?
I know there's access to the latch when the center trunk filler plate is torn off, but I would like to avoid that if there's still an option I haven't heard of. any ideas?
The only way is to charge the battery with a 40A booster charger through the passenger foot well terminal. An 10amp charger will not charge it for it takes a lot to keep the electronics awaken.
Dealer also did it for me and replaced the battery for US$700.

It's not very secure for putting valuables in the truck, but the thief would need to bring his own needle nose pliers!
