Good afternoon. I'd like to touch up a couple of chips on one of my 2012 20" AMG Rims. Guy who replaced front tires was careless; won't go back there. I'm trying to determine exact color and code. I have found the page below, and am trying to determine which wheel color applies. Mercedes Paint Wheels & Rims | PaintColourChart.com
Any input would be appreciated. Some of these seem identical to me (my color vision is poor). Thanks.
The option code 783 20" wheels on my 2012 are Himalaya Grey. Make sure you know which wheels you have as there was another 20" option for that year.
Vlad, thank you for the reply. I will take a look at the color and try to compare. FYI, I contacted that colorchart site and inquired about purchasing the MB wheel paint chart. Waiting for a response.
Would one find it on a VIN sheet? I looked at the color chart and there would be several that are close to my wheel color.
This is exactly my problem. Several colors appear to be correct. Very difficult to differentiate between them. VladSi said his wheels are Himalaya Grey. Mine may not be. I will look at the VIN and see if there is some indication of wheel color. Ideally, this site will provide me with a color chart and i will simply hold it up to the wheel.
I checked the build sheet and I also have the 783 20" wheels. I do not, however, see any indication of wheel paint color.
You should be good to go. Whether the new paint matches your 11-12 year old existing paint which has been subject to UV, brake dust and cleaning chemicals is another story. Remove a centercap and spot test where it won't be seen for match.

Vlad, The thing that makes this so confusing is that there is a Himalayas (middle) 7258, and a Himalayas (Bright) 770. The 783 on our build sheets does not seem to represent a color, although I see what you are referring to in the graphic. Just going by the eye test, I think the Bright (770) is the more likely match. I may order a small bottle for about $23. I might get lucky.
That screenshot is from EPC - the Mercedes parts catalog. The description of the wheel does indicate Mid/Middle and that's what I would go with but please note that it references color code 7756 which is also listed online as Mercedes Himalaya Grey. Just to confuse you a bit more.
