Hi guys,
I am having an issue
The car is CL500 w216 face lift with the m278 4.7 engine
I had a bad battery on the car, so I Jump started it to go and have it replaced, however, after the jump start, ABS, ESP, Distronic etc.. became inoperative, and I got a check engine light
When I shift to D or R, it is a really hard shift, and car does not shift past second gear.
Also, mirrors stopped folding after locking the car.
I replaced the battery with a new one, however, all those issues remained
I tried to put the car in manual and use the paddle shifters, but it was showing random numbers. I would be in second gear and it shows 6th for example. Any ideas what it might be? I will have it checked on Monday but wanted to ask here as well

Two things:
- never have key fob in ignition when connecting jumper cables or connecting new battery. Blown fuses and/or modules can occur.
- after power is pulled from car, steering wheel must be turned lock-to-lock to reset steering angle sensor parameters. If not reset, ABS/ESP disables and multiple warnings on instrument cluster.
