Transmission Fluid Replacement
I'm looking ahead and planning to do the suggested Transmission fluid flush/replace. I'm at 72K miles now and was told 75K is a good point to do this job. Has anyone here had this work done at Mercedes? Just wondering what the price tag is for this. Thanks in advance.

I did mine at about 50k miles. Did it myself so don't know about prices. Pretty straightforward for the ZF type of transmissions. I used LiquiMoly but in retrospect I might have stayed with the Penotsin MB fluid. Not that there was a real issue, just a feeling. Good luck with the work.

The refill process is thru the pan on the CL63 (there is no trans dipstick) , if there is I personally have not been able to find one on this 722.9 transmission. once you drain the pan, and put back on , you need to fill thru the pan - put in about 4-5L. Start the vehicle let the transmission get up to temp and then try to put another 0.5 - 1 L into pan. I've heard that the torque converter will hold around 2L of fluid. There is a way to also drain this as well. there is a window in bottom transmission have to spin engine around to find the drain plug on the converter.
Might want to ask who you get quote from if they drain the converter as well. Oh one other thing if its 2012 or newer you need the ATF Blue ( MBZ 236.15) - not the ATF Red that was 2011 and older.
