Hey all. This review is a long time coming. Sometime earlier this year I purchased a custom made expanded airbox for my 2001 CL55 AMG with the NA m113 engine. I also ordered an expanded intake elbow as well as opened up MAF, all made custom by forum member Speed43.
Speed43 was incredibly communicative through the whole process, and for the level of craftsmanship, it really impossible to beat his prices. Just look at how perfect that box looks! Adds a little extra pep to the car, especially if you’re looking to squeeze every HP out without throwing on a supercharger.
also, skip the renntech “bubble” box that’ll cost you an arm and a leg, when you can get OEM look and same performance for a third the cost.
