Looking for some help. I just got a custom steering wheel made for my Cl65 and I added the Paddle shifters to it. When I removed my stock wheel to install this one I noticed the colors of the original shift button wires are different then the wire colors on the paddles. Are these wires specific to which side they go on like a positive & negative or does it not matter. I need to change the connectors from my stock wheel to the new wheel as they are a different size. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try contacting Sunil at Motorwerks in Houston (I think it's mwhouston.com). He has the paddle-shifters all worked out, if I'm not mistaken.

There's not a lot of point having paddles/buttons on a automatic, I rarely
used mine. What happened to the air bag?

No your right there is no real point in having them but the buttons are stock on the car and I preffered the paddles over the buttons so that is why I did it. I still retained the stock airbag. I will post some pics of it for you to see.

Looks great, in fact it looks very similar to the sports wheel on my SL63,
which has a lovely feel!!

Thanks. I got it done overseas it took about 2 months and it cost $1800.00 plus my core. All they do is rework the stock steering wheel. They did a great job and the leather they use is amazing. I was going to add some alcantra to the top and bottom but decided not to I thought it might be a bit too much for Benz.
