2011/2012 W216 CL63 engine issues

I am considering a 2011+ CL63 as a daily driver as well as for fun. Has anyone experienced worse than expected problems with the new 5.5L biturbo engine, the Stop-Start feature or the transmission? Thanks in advance.

I agree but am hoping not to hear anything too bad in this small sample size. I've also posted a link to this thread in the other thread groups that use this combination (CLS63, E63 and S63).

the function are flawless there are no problems with the engine or the transmission

8k untill now with zero problems.

these engines and MCT were tested alot.

i read a report that they were trailing 2 ton in the back and having some weight in the car and driving them like there is no tommorow up hills and downs as well.

just to see how much will the gear and engine hold with this much of load.

i am pretty sure it is the best untill now. due to lots of reports i was happy about this new car.

otherwise i wouldn't sold my 55k and replaced it with this.

No problems with mine so far, and I've beat on it pretty well on more than one occasion. 2k total miles so far.

Same here.
I've taken this M157 motor up to redline several times already. I think I even recall bouncing off the rev limiter once.
And I'm honestly surprised at how well the MCT 7-speed is doing.
Quick upshifts, sweet rev-matching downshifts, and a joy to use with the paddles.
I just hope this transmission can handle 600+ torque for future upgrades several members here are planning on doing.
