I've enquired exhaustively about this, sharing lots of calls and emails with my local dealer parts man. Sorry, they're not available separately. I think that really sucks. I believe the lower ball joint IS available separately though.

If you meant the ones that are integrated into the struts very top,
no they are not available for purchase. On my rear left bumper they are shot probably too.
However a company in Germany called "Exclusive Automobile", which is specialized in ABC Suspensions, do get them from the original manufacturer of the struts! (confirmed on the phone).
Problem is, they don't sell them standalone too. They offered me to repair them on my struts for around 250€/piece, if i ship the struts to them.
Completely overhauled AMG Struts are like ~700€ from them, so i thought i would rather live with the clonk sounds from the real left and buy a set of two overhauled rear struts next season, next year from them.

your struts might be lose that is common.
remove the sensor harness connector from top of strut (from engine compartment) - pull connector straight up.
you will see underneath a large square nut. grab it with suitable socket or adjustable wrench (it is a bit inside so hard to grab with a regular wrench) and see if you can tighten it. if the whole strut internal piece spins while turning it- it is ok. you might however find that the nut can be tighten a few turns and the freeplay is what causes your strut clunk.
