The 45 Ordering Guide has yet to be released. There are no upgraded wheels for the AMG as of right now.

So if I want the black 19's then I'm SOL at this point? Hopefully some info will be released soon. I saw they talked about 19s in the press release.

I wouldn't say SOL just yet. LOL Hopefully MBUSA will release additional information soon. I was only able to put a request into my order bank for a vehicle.

That's a sick car! Anyone who wants to hook up with us for some aftermarket #WIN for it, let us know. Some of us at the office really like that car and have some great ideas for it. Nice pickup to everyone who ordered it.

This will sound funny but I wonder what type of gas mileage will it get?

According to the marketing materials it's supposed to be pretty good. If it can get similar MPG to my C250, I will be pleasantly surprised.

I went to the car show and here are the rims and tires they had on the car.

I think 19 will be the standard for the 45 amg.

What I like!
This is a very interesting car... Congrats to all who are ordering.

On the mpg -- the quoted "6.9l – 7.1l / 100km" translates to 29.2mpg No I can't do math; I just asked someone who can!

That's almost exactly how I outfitted one with a dealer yesterday! I also added the blind spot monitoring but wasn't sure it was necessary.

I'm still torn on a few things about the car before I can finalize an order.

1) Color choices. White isn't really my thing but the car looks pretty sweet in white with the carbon fiber trim, especially when set-off with the black panoramic roof. . I was really hoping to like the Jupiter Red but some of the actual pictures I've seen in write ups aren't as great as in the renderings and press shots; maybe a little too orangey(?). The pics Ive seen of the Moutain Grey are phenomena, but I'm kind of over the sea of grey cars on our roads (and in my driveway) right now so I was hoping to take a new path with my next car. So, I'm torn.

2) Wheels. I'm trying to figure out which wheels will come std. on the CLA45. Every pic I've seen shows the AMGs with the black multispokes but the std. features list describes the std. wheel as an AMG 5 spoke. Is that the one one the CLA250 equipped with the sports package? I prefer a lighter color wheel generally but the 5 spokes look a little small. The multispokes, while the same diameter, seem to look bigger and diminish the fender gap a bit better (even if its just my eyes). I don't need 19s. I'm just not sure what the std. wheel is or what the other OE options are, if any.

3) DCT. This is the big one for me. I'm a die-hard "save the manuals" guy and I'm not sure I'm ready to give it up. To be honest, I was about to buy an S4 before I heard about the CLA. I've been checking out the market for a while and have been somewhat disappointed, even though there are some great cars out there. I need a sedan with AWD -- it needs to be sporty and different (and preferably equipped with a stick). While my wife would prefer an E-Class sized car, my preference is for something smaller since I'm generally the only one in the car...which is how I got to the S4. I looked at the 335xi and although the engine was fantastic I found the interior to be a real let down. Unfortunately, the M3 and C63 are RWD only. I really liked the S4 but I didn't love it and when I saw the pictures of the CLA and read the specs it really won me over...enough to make me question the whole "stick" thing for my daily driver.

As an aside, A few of the reviews I've seen have also suggested that the non-AMG version really isn't that sporty to drive. Do any of you have any concerns about that for the CLA45? It's definitely fast in a straight line. There's no doubt about that...but what about around a corner?

-Eric

So, wait, the CLA45 isn't even available the way they're parading it around with the black multispokes? I didn't realize they were 19s! No wonder they look bigger! lol. They are! Are there any pics of the AMG version with the std. wheels so that I'd have a better idea what I'd be getting if I put an order in now?

-Eric

P.S. how about a group buy on CLAs with the bigger wheels? lol

For those who have ordered, has there been any confirmed timing for delivery? Working with my local dealer and just curious if they will arrive prior to January. Thanks

From what I have seen (this was accurate as of 30 days ago) the production begins in November so depending on how it goes through the system it could be at the port earlier but it may sit until the official launch date. I have had 2014 E350s at the port for a couple weeks now but they are not going anywhere as the release date is Friday.

The press release said US deliveries start in November then again I don't believe anything that is being said at the moment.

Yes, thankfully it appears AMG is going back to their policy of always including xenon on AMG models.

Here are some updates:

The AMG Seats seen in the Press Release car will be available but price is to be determined.

The 19" AMG Black Wheels will be available as an option.

The vehicle has a Steel Roof standard (same for CLA 250). The only roof will be a Pano Roof Option.

What am i getting when i get this car?????????? what do i have to spend to make it nice??????? i am getting frustrated with this. this car with all the extras it seems can run upwards of 70,000 with all these extras?

All the things I listed are optional, this is the same case with any AMG, including the C63. The P31 was an optional, and the P25 is the equivalent for the CLA45 AMG.

That's how it is these days. The options for other MB vehicles are just as voluminous. I'm glad we were given the option of ordering some of these things (like the seats).

Also, with MB, there are sometimes options in the order system that aren't usually listed in brochures or the website. My C250 Coupe is probably one of the most optioned C250's out there. It has the special order dynamic handling package with electronically adjustable dampening (not listed in the brochure or website).

The CLA45 is nice as it is, but these options make it better.

Nice, thanks!

One thing I didn't see in the options is the exterior CF kit. Maybe they'll have that later on.
