Looks like Mercedes is wasting no time in increasing its share of the pie. A wagon CLA might just be on the way.

The boys in Stuttgart are are toying that idea according to this scoop on a wagon version of the CLA.

If it works out, this will be one hell of a wagon in the market. Initial renderings looks pretty awesome. More pics in the link up there.

I always thought that Mercedes was left wanting in the design department but with the newer design coming out of Stuttgart, they may have just nailed it.

 

I love sports wagons and I think that rendering looks great but I have no expectation of ever seeing one sold in the US even if they do release it in the ROW. Sadly, my compatriates have too great of an affinity towards top-heavy, less stable, and less economical SUVs and crossovers.

This. That render looks incredible! I'd ditch the sedan and go with an estate in a heartbeat if that made it stateside in AMG form though
