The answer to the question is no with the unit removed. The piggy back unit goes in between the ECU and the sensor and the piggy back unit is what communicates with the sensors.

Old thread, but I'd like to ask Renntech:

The RENNtech tuning module allows the user to change the performance level and gives the ability to set different performance levels running both higher or lower boost compared to delivered settings.

So your unit has multiple levels of boost settings? Or it only has multiple levels of ignition settings for different fuel?
