Activating Race Start - Manual Mode?

Activating Race Start - Manual Mode?
I have not tried Race Start yet but on my vehicle the car needs to be in "M" mode. All the videos on YouTube are in "Sport" "S" mode - is something incorrect on my car?

I believe you have to be in M to activate race start but once you launch it changes to S.

correct. Manual mode to initiate the launch sequence but it actually switches to Sport.

Question - do you guys depress the gas pedal all the way just before letting off the brake, or just around 3,000 rpm?
