cla 45 shooting brake- my impressions

i was just at the benz dealership here in sydney and had a look at the cla45 sb. i was tossing up one of these or a c63 estate (w204), i obviously went with the c63.
for aud$100k, its pretty good value. the thing that struck me initially when i saw it was how short and stubby it looked. compared to the online pics, it looks a lot shorter. the tailgate has a smaller opening but its very deep and long. the driver cockpit is roomier than the c63.
a lot of the buttons and switches seem to be carried over, as r the $1.99 door pins.
however, the interior does feel much lower rent than the c63. the centre console armrest and centre tunnel area is missing a lot of the flair that the c63 has. as does the centre console.
the sunroof is huge though, so thumbs up there.

overall, for the price difference, its probably worth it, seeing as a new w205 c63 is circa $170k+.
i havent taken it for a spin, i probably wont, as im happy with my c63. but if u want some practicality, and also the frugalness (although the cla45 real world numbers r no where near the 8l/100km claimed, more like 10-12l/100km) then u cant go wrong. imo it looks unique, not attractive or aggressive, just different, like a pinto i guess.

Seriously you're comparing it's looks to a Pinto?

Only in the sense that it looks like a funky hatch. In a modern day iteration
