I like the sound (pops and crackles) from the CLA35 engine and the fact that it is AMG.

But at the same time also like the bigger interior space of the C300 and its front look.

The CLA has 306 hp and C300 has 241 hp.

Prices are about the same as well in my area...

Any opinions?

 

get the 35.
the mbux tech is a significant improvement over the ancient stuff in the c-class, which is going to get its next-gen model later this year (probably)

 

If you like the C300, but it's lacking in performance - I'd wait for the C300 refresh. I have the A220 which has the same interior of the CLA35 unless they put some signinifcant improvements to some of the plastic it has. I have a lot of fit/finish complaints.

The interior looks much better and I cannot complain about MBUX, it is awesome. But don't sacrifice in looks for quality. Go touch around on all the panels inside the car and judge for yourself. My A220 has squeaky panels/rattles all over the place. Some of this can be fixed, some of this was them skimping out and won't get fixed and if they used the same panel in your car, you'll hear it too.

 

I’m going from a 2017 C 300 4matic to a CLA 35. The C is slightly roomier in the backseat, which is why i bought it, to accommodate 2 child seats. But I never really liked the design of the car. Performance is “peppy” at best but that’s about it. I’d definitely wait for the C redesign or bite the bullet and get a 35.

 

CLA35 is such a nice drive.. I drove one of ours and loved it.. had a 17 C300.. tahts before the new 9 speed trans and updated 255hp and tweaks.. I like the 19/20 C300 a lot more..

Would deal on a CLA35 or C300 btw..
