The brand new VRP650 M133 Turbo features a GTX30 series ball bearing turbo upgrade. This upgrade completely replaces the factory 45 AMG turbocharger for increased horsepower and torque. Upon testing, this turbo got our CLA 45 to 465 WHP on 91 octane with only our Stage 3 power package.
I purchased this turbo, arrived with wastegate actuator dented, packaging was undamaged so must have been damaged before it was packed, ive messaged them about it and to tell them the tuning hand held unit was not in the box, they ignored the damaged actuator, they were re shipping the missing flash tuner but i got sick of waiting, it's been a few months still no tune, car has now gone to a highly regarded Mercedes tuner who has a lot of experience with the a45, the turbo is not producing anywhere near the claimed power, boost is nowhere near where it should be, there is no ID plate on the turbo so have no idea who makes it and no specs were given on the turbo which doesn't help when tuning, I've not even bothered to contact them again as they rarely reply to emails, so just a word of warning to anyone thinking of buying this, $6500 AUD down the drain, still waiting on the handeld unit which is now useless as its now been dyno tuned but looks like the turbo will be chucked in the trash and another one purchased if we can't get any specs on it and what boost it should be making.
I will update this if they ever get back to me with some specs and info on the turbo etc so my tuner can investigate whether it's just a crap turbo or there is an issue with it.
huge water of cash.
Probably that most people should have learned to avoid VRP at this point. That op gave up on them tells you exactly the type of people they are. Tons of info all over the net from respected mechanics that have nothing but problems with their repackaged junk. Sure some people may have success, but why even deal with the hassle they may cause. Maybe if you were a YouTuber that scumbag owner of VRP would help out. They have generally learned not to argue in these forums because they only underscore their extreme ineptitude at post sale service.
