Took my 45 out to the drag strip with roughly 1,150 miles on it. Half a tank of fuel. Temps were in the 80's with relatively high humidity. No clouds. The track is pretty close to sea level I believe. This was just a test and tune session, not sure how much track prep was done.

Pass 1:

60' - 1.870
330' - 5.249
660' - 7.995
MPH - 90.37
1000- 10.350
1320- 12.347 @ 113.46

Pass 2:

60' - 1.861
330' - 5.151
660' - 7.882
MPH - 90.66
1000- 10.234
1320- 12.228 @ 113.59

Pass 3:

60' - 1.862
330' - 5.179
660' - 7.928
MPH - 89.65
1000- 10.289
1320- 12.291 @ 111.53

My thoughts: I didn't adjust tire pressure or anything. 60' time could be slightly quicker with tire pressure adjustment. Not to mention I had way to much fuel in the car for quickest ET's. I was surprised when I hot lapped it from pass 1 to pass 2 it got slightly quicker versus when I had the car sit for a hour then raced it was slower (pass 3). First pass I just put it in race, I needed to disable traction control completely and forgot. First pass has some wheel spin from 1st to 2nd and a chirp into 3rd. All that went away with the traction control completely off.

Some quick calculations based on trap speed and weight vs. ET's and Weight (car 3,670 MB claims and me 190 = 3860) came up with some interesting HP numbers. Trap speed to weight was 412-434 HP while ET to weight showed a much more realistic 405-417. All those numbers would be flywheel numbers. I will have my car dynoed before I mod it to see what it really puts down.

Am I surprised on what it ran? Yes and no. I expected at best a 12.3' - 12.4's, but to be a consistent 12.2' and close to 12 flats with some tire pressure adjustment and less fuel in the car, yes surprised. Especially given the weight of the car and supposed horsepower. I looked around to find what the CLA 45 S runs in the 1/4 mile, but have not found anything. I wanted my 45 to be 12.0's or 12.1's before I put on the eventuri intake and Renntech software on for comparison for sure high 11's. Last item to note, for bracket racing you will have to anticipate the half a second pause once you let off the brake before the car actually moves. It will destroy you on reaction times if you're racing against a savvy bracket racer and know the importance of reaction time. I was having to let off the brake earlier to compensate for it. The photo and video are from the photographer at the track. I believe his name was Thomas.

2021 AMG CLA 45 (Sold 14 CLA 45 AMG, 05 C55 AMG)
I have yet to take my 2021 AMG CLA45 to the drag strip however, I had a 2014 CLA45 AMG that was stock and ran a best of 12.284s @111.15mph. I expect my 2021 to be quicker all things (weather/conditions) being equal.

Did you use launch control?

Absolutely did. Race start, traction completely off. 60' times were almost a tenth slower than my '16 S3 that I had with APR software. I was looking at timeslip comparisons. The previous CLA45 made similar horsepower and had less weight. Although the new CLA45 has an extra gear and dual clutch.

I put the Eventuri intake on and Renntech Software. I can easily swap it out to be using the factory software for comparison. From what I read, my car ran similar times to the CLA45S in Europe per magazine published times.
