I can toggle this option on and off all day and nothing changes on the display. Does anyone have a satellite imagery layer showing? Is this something else missing due to the downgraded heat unit?
You need to zoom out. The satellite map is only shown at higher zoom levels. Not sure what it is for the MBUX, but for my COMAND NTG 5.5 it's 2 miles and higher.

Well crap, now I'm that guy who doesn't check the manual first. Worked exactly like you said. I guess as I live and drive in the city it had no reason to zoom out that far.
