My CLA 35 with 52k miles sometimes has a rough idle and the check engine light has come on for P228097
The air mass flow in the intake air system (cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction.
The system function is restricted.

A fine leak in the evaporative emission control system was detected.Leakage or a defective seal was detected.
I’m pretty sure the latter has been there for a while so I’m not too concerned with it right now. I also have noticed I get pretty bad fuel economy even when just driving in comfort.
everything online points to mass air flow sensor however for the life of me I could not find one. I noticed a MAP sensor on the air intake. Is that the same thing as a MAF sensor for this model engine?
any ideas what to do or look for?
