I ask because next my order the price for Black Leather says not on file. I emailed my saleswoman but she hasn't gotten back to me yet.
Thanks.

I'm getting Mountain Grey also, that I know is $720. Could you have mistaken the price for metallic paint instead of Black Leather? Because I'm on the phone with my saleswoman and she can't get me a price, in the system it still says not on file for the black leather.

What I am guessing is that once Black Leather is ordered it triggers the Exclusive Package which is $1,500 and that is the price of the black leather along with the Exclusive Package. Because in the ordering guide it says with the $1,500 leather option that you must have the Exclusive Package.
What is in the Exclusive Pack, its MB Tex on the dash and armrest on the doors along with the IR open/close. I don't think that is worth $1,500.
This is very wishful thinking but it does make sense..

Spec'd it out on 9/23 when I was able to finally see CLA colors in person and order went into system on 9/25. Still awaiting a PO number and delivery estimate, although my salesman said he was figuring I'd get it before February

I'm going to be late to the party, even though I ordered back in April.
Because of global demand (according to my contacts at AMG), Euro Delivery orders have to be pushed back even further.
I will now be picking it up in April. Well, I was planning on being in Rome for Easter anyways, so it will work out.
I have my PO number and production date (first week of March).
My configuration has also been finalized.

Damn, I placed my order a LONG time ago, lol.
I've been patiently waiting since I wanted to do European Delivery for it.
The car was approved by MB for European Delivery starting April 1 (due to the German winter tire laws and MB not having a winter tire program like BMW). Due to my work schedule and wanting to be in Rome for Easter, I pushed delivery of the car to April 22.
Initially, I was told my car would be built in the last week of March. I just heard last week that my car has been built and it will be waiting for me. They also gave me the VIN as well.

Looks exciting as you guys are taking delivery of your CLA45 AMGs!
Question, how are you all dealing with the navigation screen being mounted like that? Is it is bad as it looks in the pictures? From what I understand, there is a size difference between packages?
Also, what made you consider this over anything else? I was dead set on an F80 M3, and from the looks of it will be a spectacular car. However, I am starting to like the CLA45 AMG more! It doesn't look like your average car. It's grown up and sporty at the same time, also is a complete sleeper. I like the idea of an extremely powerful four cylinder. I'm going to be able to take advantage of a really handsome discount regardless of what I choose. I'll be moving to Korea this summer, so I'll have a couple years to watch and see how this car evolves over yearly updates and improvements. I'm hoping that they go to more of a in dash nav, but I'm willing to look past it. I'm starting to lean towards the Mercedes just because it's the best of both worlds. I can have power, and all the creature comforts with the performance oriented model.Anyway, I'll end my rant.

I have no idea why people are complaining about the screen, I love the way it looks and acts in person. The photos really don't do any justice. The position of the screen is at great eye height and when you get the navigation package, the enlarged screen is very easy on the eyes.
You got it right, this car turns heads everywhere, a sleeper!

The rest of the car is great, but the screen seems like it was an afterthought.
I haven't seen it in person, which is why I have to ask. It definitely has topnotch features, and a hell of a lot of HDD space. How's the nav? Intuitive, or dated?

Navigation is a huge improvement over past generations - here in Canada MB's older Nav systems didn't even label major road ways, was pathetic! This new system works flawless, has nice features that identify restaurants, gas stations, shopping etc! MB apps is another nice feature which I run with my iPhone hot spot - access to Facebook, google earth, real time flights, traffic etc! Only complaint is it is kinda slow….

The bones seem great, and I'm sure it will improve in the next couple years.
How is the HK sound?
Did you go for the AMG seats? Looks to be mandatory. What about the drivers pack? Any difference in ride height?

I think the "bones" of the car today are perfect!
Recaro AMG seats are amazing - nicest racing seat I have sat in, MB did it right by going to Recaro for this. They look sooooo cool! They are $$$$ but if you can afford it, I highly recommend. There are multiple power settings on the side of the seat to adjust every single bolster to your comfort.
HK is good, although to be perfectly honest, the HK system in my last 2012 GLK sounded a LOT better for some reason, the bass on the CLA45 HK system seems less strong, although overall wattage is higher

I'm not skimping out on this.
The only package don't want is the safety stuff, although I want parking sensors. I don't like all the CF, and would prefer gloss trim with the cirrus white.
Like I said, I can get an amazing discount on this, and I've got two years without a car payment, which will provide for an awesome down payment. I'm also selling my house, so no payment there, plus quite a bit of equity. This move to Korea cannot end soon enough.
As far as the sound, it may improve over the next couple years as this is after all the first year. I'm sure the kinks will be worked out, and even then, JL makes an amp kit to improve your factory sound. Might want to give it a try.
Edit: I'm not keen on the panoramic roof. Seems overkill.

Honestly, I don't mind the screen. The biggest issue for me is not having Keyless Go. I don't think I've had a car since 2007 without some form of Keyless Go. But, I guess the rest makes up for it.
Why I chose this car? It's going to be a daily driver/beater/occasional track car.
I have other much faster cars and I wanted something sensible and somewhat understated to drive every day. Also, while I normally don't care about fuel economy as some of my cars are gas guzzlers and/or require 100 octane, my C250 coupe has been a fantastic car to take on trips and just dd'ing that I wanted something similar. So, having similar fuel economy, size, power and amenities for dd'ing appealed to me. Also, I think it'll be fun on the track and much cheaper to campaign than my GT-R has been, but I'll still be able to whup on Evos.
And lastly, ever since I saw the prototype at an Mercedes-Benz sponsored focus group back in 2011, I fell in love with the car. I also got to see the concept again in person at the Mercedes-Benz Gallery in Paris and it just sold me on the car.
I am not keeping this car for a while, so I'm pretty flexible. The new M3/M4 looks great, but I would personally wait for the LCI. I may change this car out for a C205 C63 or an F32 M3 or even an F20 M2 (if they come out with one) after a couple years.

I have to wait a couple years anyway as work is bringing me to Korea. Keyless Go may be an option by then.
The F80/F82 will be delivering this June. Some are luck enough to get a launch car. Very tempting to me, and there should be an LCI a couple years from now.
There are reasons why I'd prefer the Mercedes and Reasons why I would want the BMW... I guess I'll have to sit back and watch these cars grow for the next two years. I like the Mercedes a lot though.

If you're going to wait for two years, then don't even worry about it. In two years, there will be other cars in play (like the new C63).

Greetings from Germany guys!
I've driven the car about 1100km's so far and love it.
I think the tranny has been updated as the lag on shifting that I experienced when I first test drove the CLA45 a few months back is now significantly reduced.
I'll post more pics later
