Last question. The mf is based on Ur credit correct, not based on the model being purchased? The residual is based on the model selected is this correct?

1. both car and credit---- I could have top tier credit but the model I want may only be offered in std factors and not factory subvened version

2. yes and also mileage per year and term. EG a CLS at 36 has a lower residual than a C350 at the same term but if shorten the term on the CLS then of course it would be higher- and mileage per year affects too: add 2% for 12k, 3% for 10k and I forgot the add for 7500 miles but I think its 5%

I reached out to a pretty reliable source, the AMG residual will be lower than 64 but not sizeably---- cant guarantee but Id guess circa 60 even for 15k.....

Hopefully around 60% because that would drive the price down a good amount, and I will be able to add the options I want, well at least some of them . I am really excited for the C63 AMG comin out in 4matic next year, we need that for Michigan weather.

Now I am even more confused I went from thinking every car has a different money factor (of course with different ranges adjusted for credit) to thinking you can get .00185 for auto pay on any car and finally understanding I was sort of right all along by saying it changes per model.

Hmm how do we know we aren't getting screwed Blythe stealership on the money factor. After all they are allowed to bump it up if they want.

the reason I said it can changed based on model is some cars have special lease rates and if you get approved the MF is different. Dont read too much into it or it will make less sense

Of course the dealer can bump the MF on std rates but not on special programs (unless the program allows them to)... thats why you first always negotiate the price of the car lease or buy first. The terms and miles cant not be packed by the dealer. You have every right to ask for buyrate on a lease and they have every right to say no. Once the contract is printed you can figure out the money factor before you sign. There is a dollar amount disclosure on how much you will pay and you can back it out and find out the MF. Remember the lease fee monthly is the adjusted net cap cost of the car plus the residaul times the money factor.

I'm very anxious and curious as to what everyone's lease deals will look like next week. For the reasonable msrp the 45 lease could be very reasonable or unreasonable. Please report as soon as you get your deals.

Phil .00225 is tier 1, if you can qualify for Tier A1 then your factor is .00195. Sign up for autopay on your physical contract and rate is then .00185.

Your close to $1100 for a zero down. 36 months with 12k per year at MSRP for a 67k car. Wild figures.

I'm sure it's worth it. I heard one with the amg performance exhaust and it sounds sick!

Numbers are up there though.

Just received lease numbers from my dealer and IMO they do not look good. With 0 down and 1st mo at 10k. MF .00250(I am not exactly sure how they got this high of a MF with out running credit) MSRP $57,050
24 mo 1171.85
30 mo 1065.22
36 mo 992.02

I posted this on a sister website the numbers are actually terrible for the msrp.

I'm guessing if this is the case to really move this car it will have to be heavily discounted off of the msrp. I do also realize that is in high demand with low production numbers and Yada Yada yet I just came out of a 11 M3 E93 at 83k msrp at 899/mo 36 months all in, and my brother in law just took home a 93k 991 C2 Coupe for 36 months at 901/month both at zero down tax in - in NY. All I am saying is that the deal clearly has to make sense and at the moment this is not priced to sell unless a heavy discount off of msrp is involved.

I agree...once the hype wears off MB is going to have to subsidize the MF, residual or start giving 5K discounts. To me the CLA45 should be leasing in the $650-$750 a month range for 36 months with little down.

what is the name of sister website?

Also, if i decide to walk away from the vehicle then i think the dealer will have a hard time moving it. The options were preselected by the dealer, so i didnt have any say in options. It is night black w black dinamica, amg steering wheel, and 19" black wheels. But they selected burl walmnut trim????

Mercedesclaforum.org

At these lease rates they will definitely have a hard time leasing them. I have the black dinamica on order. I saw it in person but didn't get a chance to sit in them. I am looking forward to exploring it further before the car comes.

Burl walnut is odd.

In case you all want to know what the lease rate (money factor) equates to in APR, simply multiply by 2,400.

Regards,

Joe
