Soft launch?

I have been reading around that the 45s have a soft launch option which you can hold the break and mash in the gas and engine will rev to ~3k rpm and you let go of the breaks and off you go.

I have been trying this in my GLA 45 and RPMs won't go above 1-1.5k, and have tried sports mode manual, sports esp etc to no avail.

Is this limited to just the A45s? Anyone with a CLA do it?

(Btw first time I did race start **** went flying everywhere and scared the **** outta myself lol).

Pretty sure that feature is just for the CLA car model , not a heavy SUV.

I think you have to turn the traction control off, put the car in manual mode, hold the brake and both shifters together behind the steering wheel, its gonna show on the speedometer screen, launch? Then go hit yes. Then hit brake and accelerator at the same time and let go the brake (within 3 sec or less).

Have fun and yes its addicting!!

GLA 45 AMG
I have also tried the soft launch as described in the A45 and CLA45 forums but it does not work in my GLA45, as jstenop has said. Pretty strange as these cars are exactly the same...
