I'm getting a consistent clicking noise coming from the dash, behind the command screen. It makes the same sound as a small pebble / sand hitting the windshield.

It's fairly consistent, once the car warms up... Maybe the cold weather is playing a role, but it's very annoying (and I'm usually not annoyed by these things).

Is anyone else experiencing this?

my wife ALWAYS complains about it,
been to the dealer for the same problem more than 3 times by now within 6 months.
wonder if this can be under lemon law! haha

btw, after 3 visits, still clicking rattling.

i drive s class and this CLA am feels like lancer evolution to me... (as far as the clicking and rattling goes.. haha) no offense!

my GLA 45 sometimes does that...it seems to be from the carbon fiber trim around the vent holes...if i push the trim it stops.

It has only occurred when its very cold out (less than 20 deg f), and after the car warms up. It's very consistent/repeatable at that point. It seems to be under the center vent on the dash, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm getting the same rattle from behind the HVAC controls, cheap *** plastic all around, hard to pinpoint where exactly. Same amount of annoyance in 50F air as 0F air.

At least for me, it was the interface junction between the back of the COMAND screen and the dash. The dealership pulled it, put in a rubber gasket + silicone sealant, and it seems to have gone away.
