Impressed with MHP tune

https://mbworld.org/forums/cla45-amg-c117/581307-impressions-mhp-cla45-ecu-tune.html#post6395556

Finally got to the dyno.
Dynojet AWD linked dyno. 93 octane before/after ECU tuning only.

Max gains are +100awtq SAE and 80awhp+.

Stock exhaust, filters, and everything else.

Looks like average torque and power gains over the entire rev range is quite a bit less than the peak figures. Also less torque and power down low which affects drivability.

Show me a dyno in which gains across the board match peak gains? They don’t exist.

That’s because the dyno operator began the pull at a slightly higher rpm with the tuned pull which you can easily see via the graph.

This car pulls like a rocket at all rpm's vs stock. Can’t wait for my downpipe and exhaust!

Peak gain is for bragging rights.

Area under the graph is what counts.

Just my .02.

Happy tuning y'all

This is a really good forum with great users but I think sometimes if you're not a sponsor the judge and jury is not willing to listen to your side.

I personally would love to see a tuner shootout! Let's get all the different tuning manufactures together with one car. We all know that each car is going to be slightly different in horsepower and torque. Each tuner gets access to the same car to install their tune and then it's put on the dyno.

The best tune wins!

I already agreed to this a while ago on a previous thread.

Wanted to check up with my 2500 mile post ECU tune update. Loving the tune more than I ever have even with the hot summer air here now. Not a single issue, problem or check engine light since being tuned. To sum it up I’m incredibly happy with my 470HP and 507lb/ft SAE 4 pot! Thank you Bernhard and MHP! Looking forward to installing your downpipe and exhaust before the next Mid-Ohio event in June.

It’s actually “area under the curve” and I’ve yet to see you post any dynos or run any record 60-130mph vbox passes with your tune. Would love to see them if you got them..

Hey, I'm a working man building a business. What do you want from me? :p

Seriously though, I'm working on finding some time to get all that done with Jeremy & company. California isn't forgiving when it comes to quarter mile tracks or anything like that, and I *really* don't feel like driving 200 miles to Willow Springs/Buttonwillow. But as soon as I get some personally recorded results, I'll post them up.

I think Raleigh's response was to "ddtung" posted prior.

What i like about MHPs dynos is that they are the actual graphs from the dyno. They aren't created by MS paint or Adobe or any other computer program. Anyone can make whatever graph they want using that software, Stasis was king of that back in the day.

Raleigh, I saw the prototype downpipe and exhaust (with and without cat) for the 45 AMGs with Swaintech coating while getting my headers installed. You're in for a treat

Nice looking graphs, but what in gods name makes you think you have over 500 lb/ft of torque or 470hp after JUST a tune? LOL

Please tell me it's a typo? Because I refuse to believe anyone is naive enough to believe you can gain 180+ torque from a simple ecu tune haha

You are pushing almost 400whp, and a little over 400wtq, that doesn't equate to anywhere near the numbers you quoted after accounting for drivetrain losses.

You also should disclose the type of dyno this was run on, because if it wasn't a Mustang AWD Dyno, then those numbers are inflated as well. Not knocking on your tune whatsoever, but if those numbers were true, you'd be running well into the 11's in the 1/4 mile... Some of the dynos that have been done on stock cars showing 330+ awhp stock are simply from dyno jet type dynos that typically read high, when in reality our cars are maybe making 300whp stock or near there.

MHP is a scam artist and has a vast history online, on multiple forms

They are banned because the owner of MHP is the biggest scam artist in the industry. Stay away. He is a clown and you will have nothing but trouble & lies.
