I live in an area where parking is at a premium and rush hour traffic passes by causing a congestion at times. I want to know whether an AMG will be suitable for me or is there a better option? I will also be using it everyday for going to work and back, as well as weekend trips of about a hundred miles or so.

Seriously that is such a wide open question, as suggested above you really need to get out there and try out some vehicles and see what fits your requirements, all things considered including other makes or brands.

If it has to be an AMG then just from what you have stated maybe stick to the A Class range (compactness for parking and daily traffic), I'm guessing the GLA-45 would be a good starting point.

Hahah, sorry I chuckled at this. OP, you should test drive them and take it for a spin to see what's suitable for you. You'll be the one behind the wheel for the duration of ownership, I feel you'll make a good decision either way.
