Why so many used CLA45?

Hi everyone, i'm new to the Mb game. I have a 2014 C300 and my lease will be up next year. I've been lurking the interwebs just to see what are the prices of a used CLA45 and i'm surprise to see so many, all kind of mileage. Is there something wrong with them that people have been "punting" them? Or what's the deal? Thanks in advance.

I was on the fence with a GLA45 and my C450. For me, it was the overall fit and finish that led me to my decision. I think people new to the brand would get into then based on the performance specs and were disappointed after driving them for a bit. I had a whole bunch of low milage GLA45s to peruse before I ordered my car. The interior just seemed so cramped. With that said, I am jealous over the exhaust note of that 400hp 4 banger!

I know, i've only had the chance to drive the base CLA as a loaner and indeed seems cramped. For me will be only the AMG engine. It's my understanding that they're bulletproof if you will. I also love how my C300 (German built) feels. So, it's a tough decision for me, when the time comes i hope i can test drive both and decide right then and there. It just seems rare to me to see so many CLA45 used for sale around.

thats because a lot of people had 2 year leases . times up.
some upgraded to a C63 AMG.
others wanted the 2016 CLA 45 AMG that has more power adjustable suspention plus other goodies.

I have my 45 for 2 1/2 years and absolutely love it . not one problem.
ill wait to the 2019 comes out with major upgrades and tons more power.

2013 C250 Coupe
Careful going from a C class to a CLA, the interior size and finish is quite different so the power will be the only real improvement.

2016 C450 AMG Sport
I had a 2014 CLA45 (one of the first delivered in my area) - I really loved the car. The looks, the power, the exhaust note were all awesome. I had no real problems (I did have the turbo replaced under the recall). But over time, the very small back seat became an issue (although I rarely had back seat passengers, when I did, they just did not fit well back there). Most of my driving was in the city and driving an AMG vehicle at 30-40 MPH all the time was like trying to hold back a race horse. The vehicle wanted to just go, but you just can't go flying down residential streets at 60 or 70 MPH. I saw that my dealer had a 2016 C450 (black) on the lot. I took a test drive. The interior was so much roomier than the CLA and the materials were so much nicer... Well, long story short, the C450 just fit my lifestyle a bit better than the CLA 45. I got a decent trade-in and a nice discount off the C450, so I did the deal.
There are times I wish I still had the 45, but after driving the 450 for a few minutes, I'm glad I made the switch. I still have plenty of power, a bigger back seat and a nicer dash and interior. Plus, I always wanted a black Mercedes!
(By the way, whoever bought my CLA45 got a great car with very low miles. It looked just about brand new inside and out. And it ran great!).
