CLA 45 differences between 14 and 18?
What changed between the MY 14 and 18? I am looking at comparing the two. How did the power increase and mpg decrease with the same powerplant? Is this tuning only, more boost?

I’d suggest watching YouTube video reviews on the 2018 CLA amg and you can notate the difference from your 2014. I drive a 2018 but I’m clueless to what the 2014 version had/doesn’t have

Starting MY2016 MB revised the gear ratios from 3rd to 7th gear and the exhaust cam if I remember correctly reading from news/articles back in the days. I'm not sure about if MB put a revised ECU software or not.
I had a 2015 and now driving a 2018, overall the 2018 feels smoother on day to day driving and the most noticeable improvement to me is the transmission. Maybe it has a revised software or something, it shifts much faster and smoother in C mode as well, without the "jerky" feeling when starting off the line from a traffic stop and very noticeable on an uphill start. The S Mode on the 2018 has a higher idle, ~ 900rpm and S+ Mode has an even higher idle, ~1100rpm. To me the 2018 has improvements and I enjoy these improvements over the 2015.
Hope this helps a little and feel free to comment.
Thanks!
