CAN connector location for ECO stop/start?
Hi all,
I bought the ECO-stop-start button from mid city engineering because they listed the CLA as being compatible. However, they have no instructions for the CLA (only for the G/C/E classes).
The instructions say you need to plug it into the CAN bus gateway/bar. But no pointers to where this is located.
I found a CAN connection point in the passenger footwell above the fusebox - but it has blue/white wires going into those CAN connectors. Plugging the ECO stop start kit into it causes the car to throw error lights for the air bags, low beam lights, lane/blindspot assist systems, etc, etc.
I reached out to mid-city engineering and they said I need to find the CAN block that has brown wires plugged in, not blue/white. They said it should be near the passenger footwell area, but towards the door still.
I've looked and cannot find anything of the sort.
Anyone know where these CAN connections are in the CLA45?
