Misfire Fault Code P300, P353 after idling for 20 minutes amid Covid lockdown
However, after about 20 minutes, the engine started shaking, and on the dash engine light came-up. Also, from the exhaust end, I had some foul/burnt smell. I thought maybe it's due to over-heat or unburnt fuel in the cylinder or something, so I took the car for a short spin in my gated community, but I felt very rough idling and acceleration. The engine light intermittently kept blinking, and after a few minutes of driving, it's now constant.
My vehicle has clocked only 7500 miles and went for its third scheduled serviced in January 2020. I have had no issues whatsoever since I bought. Just today after idling the vehicle for 20 minutes after 30 days.
I have ELM27 OBDII with Pro version of Torque app. When I ran the Fault code diagnostic, I came up with the following errors:
P0300, P0302, P0303, P0353
I don't have any tools to check Spark plugs. Everything is closed including the MB authorized service centre until 17th May.
1. I wanted to know if I should try clearing the fault codes using OBII? as I read in some forum who faced similar issue and after clearing codes, his car's idling went back to normal.
2. If it is safe to drive under 2K RPM till workshop?
3. Anything else I can do?
