CLA250 Cooling Issue
I'm replacing my Mercedes CLA thermostat housing again because my car kept overheating. I've already replaced the water pump, and the radiator and also the thermostat a month ago but still overheating so replacing the thermostat one more time to be sure. But the inlet inside the engine from where the thermostat housing attached to the engine seems very narrow inside. Is that normal. Meaning when I fit my finger inside the engine from that opening where the thermostat housing fits inside. I can barely fit my pinky a quarter inch inside. So it seems to be a one inch or smaller opening and not the size of the entire diameter of the opening hole. Is that normal? It has a metal thing blocking it besides the edges.
when driving, I can hear contriction of the water/coolant. Like it's stuck somewhere and slowly being released when I give it some extra gas at times. I feel like it's circulating coolant at a small rate. So when the car is idling it does not overhear but when i drive it, it overheats and as soon as I pull over it will automatically cool down.. without turning the car off. Meaning its sril idling. I can also drive it at very low speeds like 5 mph on very cold days for even hours but if I go faster then it overheats
since I changed the parts. There are no coolant leaks. There was one in the beginning before i changed all these parts but not anymore. But still overheating. And all this began because I out in devil's coolant stop leak. And instantly after putting it in. Within minutes, it began overheating. Prior to this I never had any overheating issues
