(2019/2020) CLA 200 Won't connect to 4g Mercedes network
Ever since purchasing my car back in September 2019 my Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 has not been connected to the mbux 4G network... As a result the car hasn't been able to properly synchronise with my phone when I am not in the vehicle. I.e. I cannot see or utilise the functions in the Mercedes Me app or such as turning the car on from my phone locking the car from my phone or turning the air conditioning on etcetera.
I have taken it to the service centre at my local dealership and they uninstalled and reinstalled all of the software on the car and that did not fix it in spite of the fact they thought it may have. It is quite frustrating that I cannot fully use all of the functions. thought I would also mention that yes all of the functions for the app re-enabled from my account, I did that on my computer.
when my phone is not connected to the car via Bluetooth there are no bars of internet reception available on my car interfinterface... There is no little 4G icon near my reception bars.
Has anybody had a similar problem and/or found a solution

If I recall correctly I had the app on my phone and entered the vin# before I got the car. That allowed me to register the app but no access the to the MBUX in the car..
It was not until delivery and after I put in my license plate did the app activate.
My salesperson made me start and turn off the car, lock and unlock from my phone while I was there.
If you have the Navigation package and are getting real time road updates then your car is connected to the internet. If you suspect its via your phone. Try driving to see if it updates without your phone.
When you open the Mercedes Me App on your phone you should see a colour graphic of your car, license plate and Odom. reading. If you hit the * button it should show you your VIN. This screen also allows you to edit your license plate #.
Make sure all the Notification options are turned on as well.
There is a little car icon next to the * icon. This allows you to add another vehicle. If all else fails I would try adding your car as the second car, worth a try.
